Some Comments from previous Festival Walkers:
I attended the Leenane Walking Festival
on Saturday and Sunday and I just wanted to say that we had a fantastic
time. It was well run and the walks were fantastic, the fact that
the farmers allowed us over their land meant that we got to access the
mountains from a different point to the one we would usually take.
The tea and scones afterwards were very welcome and the speedboat ride
back to Killary was an experience I will never forget, what a novel way
to end a hill walk!! It was all a wonderful experience and we will
definitely be back next year!
Just a quick note to say a big 'thank you' for a
wonderful weekend of
walking. Very interesting to hear the various talks - Michael Gibbons
and
the farmer near the Erriff river, in particular. Thanks also all who let
us walk on their land and to the providers of the tea and scones. A
really well-organised festival - congratulations to all!
